大家應該對這位統一美國籍洋投有印象，他於2004創下單季最多觸身球的紀錄，因此有觸身球王子的稱號，而且他在2004年6月2日對誠泰的比賽中因為教練團球員登錄上的問題，使喬伊有上場打擊的機會，這時大家都很期待看看誠泰投手克萊柏Kleber會不會採取報復手段，結果是沒有，且喬伊擊出一支內野滾地球讓二壘的跑者推進到三壘，留下了一個難得的打擊紀錄。

Joe Davenport is a former American pitcher in Tainan-based Uni-President Lions Baseball Team. He was a quality starter with a 2.80 ERA from 2002 to 2004, however, at the same time he was highly controversial. Since he threw many inside sinkers, it easily hit batters when pitching were out of control. He held a record of the most HBP pitcher during a single season (2004) in Taiwanese Professional Baseball League. At the same year, he threw at least one HBP in consecutive 7 games which is also a highest record in Taiwanese Baseball League.
